Learn more about hypnotherapy
“You become what you focus on.” Epictetus.
As Epictetus said, what you pay attention to, influences your thoughts, which impacts your actions, which determines the outcome of your life.
We are being hypnotized everyday (the news, films, social media…) Using hypnosis to focus your attention in what you desire is the key to changing behaviours and negative thought patterns.
I practice evidence-based hypnotherapy, these techniques are safe and have demonstrated a great outcome in a vast number of cases, especially when combined with core CBT principles. Cognitive Behavioural Hypnotherapy has been shown to give better and longer lasting outcomes than using independent techniques.
Hypnosis is a relaxed state where all your attention is focused on images, ideas and experiences. You will never be under the ‘control’ of the therapist, you will be always awake and in control of your behaviour and will always remember the whole session. In a safe manner we can reach the conscious and subconscious mind. Together we use suggestions and imagery to target the thoughts, feelings and actions desired. This practice is often found to be pleasant and relaxing.
Hypnotizability is our individual ability to experience physiological, sensory, behavioural, cognitive, and emotional changes in response to suggestions given during hypnosis. Everyone has a degree of hypnotizability, a few people have a high level, wereas most of us have a medium hypnotizability degree.
